About Student First

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to put students, and the people who serve them, first. We deliver the AI-powered, cloud-native platform that connects every step of the student journey, so institutions can operate more effectively, serve more personally, and guide every student to success.

OUR VISION

A future where every institution runs on a connected, intelligent system that frees its people to focus on what matters most: helping every student reach their goals. When the people who serve students thrive, students thrive.

OUR STORY

Built by People Who Know Higher Education from the Inside.

Student First was founded by David Meek, who previously built Campus Management Corporation and Education Technology Associates, alongside a leadership team with senior experience across the leading companies in higher education technology.

We built Student First because we'd spent decades working alongside institutions and understood what they needed next: a platform designed around their mission, their students, and the pace of change in higher education. That understanding shapes our architecture, our implementation methodology, our support model, and every product decision we make.

OUR VALUES

Six Values That Shape Everything We Build.

Students at the Center. Every decision we make begins with a simple question: how will this help students succeed? Their goals shape our platform, our priorities, and our partnerships.

People before platforms. Registrars, advisors, financial aid teams, and faculty are the heart of every institution. We design tools that give them time back, clarity in their work, and confidence in every student interaction.

Intelligence with Integrity. We use AI to anticipate needs, simplify complex work, and surface insight, with people guiding the decisions that matter. Innovation earns trust when it is transparent, accurate, and accountable.

Transparency and Trust. We share what the platform does today and where our roadmap is headed, price transparently, and set realistic implementation expectations. Trust is the foundation of every partnership we build.

Partners in Progress. We build on the strengths each institution already has, and our commitment grows stronger after go-live, when the platform delivers on every promise we made. Our success is measured by the outcomes our partners achieve for their students.

Always Future-Ready. Higher education keeps evolving, and so do we. Through frequent releases, zero downtime, and continuous listening, we make sure every institution is prepared for what comes next.

WHAT WE BUILD

One Platform. The Complete Higher Education Institution.

Student First is a unified, AI-powered System of Record that manages the entire student lifecycle, from recruiting and admissions through advising, academic operations, financial aid, student finance, records, career services, and beyond.

Every capability is built natively into one platform, with zero legacy constraints and zero downtime, and one AI engine that draws from the complete institutional picture. Every office works from the same current student record, and the platform keeps getting better with frequent releases.
